greyhound mittens

A cool nuance of blue-turquoise tones on natural fur colors of sheep determine the design of the „Greyhound Mittens“. The pattern is inspired by old oriental embroideries and runs over the background of warm brown tones, following the Fair Isle style.

The mittens are knitted in the round on double pointed needles. They are also part of my E-Book „Greyhound Series“ along with 4 other beautiful models.

For the fit, the anantomy of the hand was taken into account with regard to the slightly inward offset thumb and the different finger slants for the left and right hand.

The given amount of yarn is also enough to knit the „Greyhound Beanie“.

Skill level: for experienced knitters

Finished size: 26 cm length x 9 cm width (size M)

The mittens fit a hand circumference between 18.5 cm and 21 cm. The female model in the photos has a hand circumference of 18.5 cm, the male model of 20.5 cm. The size can be changed by choosing knitting needles or yarn with a different size and weight.

Yarn: 250 g Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift (25 g/ 105 m) – 10 different colors (also enough for the „Greyhound Beanie“)

Needle size: 3 mm

The digital pattern includes photos, information on preparation & material, a knitting technique tutorial, understandable knitting instructions and clear colored charts (separately for the left and right mitten).
