sterntaler Baby blanket
For the design of the baby blanket „Sterntaler“ I was inspired by the azure colors of the Caribbean and historic Asia Minor carpet patterns. This precious piece is so beautiful that it can even last for generations.
This jacquard pattern blanket is knitted in soft and warming Shetland wool from Jamieson’s of Shetland. Against the back, 2 pieces of a patchwork cotton fabric (á 73 cm x 25 cm) were sewn by hand, so that the baby’s face does not come into contact with the wool.
„Sterntaler“ is knitted flat in one piece from the bottom up (not in the round).
