helleborus mittens
The colors of my „Helleborus Mittens“ change beautifully depending on the incidence of light. The warm green comes to the fore in cloudy weather, the golden-yellow pattern colors shine especially expressive in the evening sun. The unique soft Shetland yarn from Jamieson’s of Shetland makes this magical play of colors possible.
The mittens are knitted in the round on double pointed needles and are also part of my E-Book „Helleborus Series“ along with 4 other beautiful models.
In the fit, the anantomy of the hand was taken into account with regard to the slightly inward offset thumb and the different finger slopes for the left and right hand.
Skill level: for experienced knitters
The specified amount of yarn is also enough to knit the „Helleborus Hat“, which together with the mittens makes a beautiful set.
Finished size: 25.5 cm length x 10 cm width (size M).
The mittens fit a hand circumference between 18.5 cm and 21 cm. The model in the photos has a hand circumference of 18.5 cm. The size can be changed by choosing a different needle or yarn size.
Yarn: 250 g Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift (25 g/ 105 m) – 10 different colors (enough also for the „Helleborus Hat“)
Needle size: 3 mm
The digital pattern includes photos, information on preparation & material, a knitting technique tutorial, knitting instructions with explanatory photos and clear colored charts (separately for the left and right mitten).
