The shawl „Gardens of Sanssouci“ is an unusual design inspired by old carpet embroidery from the Orient. It got its name because the colors are reminiscent of painting and interiors in ancient castles such as Sanssouci in Potsdam (Germany).
The shawl is knitted flat from the bottom up in one piece (not in the round). I used the great yarn from Jamieson’s of Shetland for this, and with its unmatched color palette, it made my ideas come true.
„Gardens of Sanssouci“ is also part of my E-Book „Grassland“ along with 8 other beautiful models.
