eisvogel mittens
The iridescent colors of the kingfisher were the inspiration for the design of my „Eisvogel Mittens“. They are made of 8 colors of Shetland yarn from Jamieson’s of Shetland and together with the „Eisvogel Hat“ form a beautiful set.
The mittens are knitted in the round on double pointed needles. For the fit, I took into account the anantomy of the hand in terms of the thumb being slightly offset inward and the different finger slopes for the right and left hand.
The „Eisvogel Mittens“ are also part of my E-Book „Zauberland“ along with 8 other beautiful models. The specified amount of yarn is also enough to knit the „Eisvogel Hat“.

Finished size: 25,5 cm length x 10 cm width (size M)
The mittens fit a hand circumference between 18.5 cm and 21 cm. The model in the photos has a hand circumference of 18.5 cm. Needles and yarn of a different size and weight can be used to change the size.
Yarn: 200 g Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift (25 g/ 105 m) – 8 different colors (also enough for the „Eisvogel Hat“)
The digital pattern includes photos, a knitting technique tutorial, understandable knitting instructions with explanatory photos and clear colored charts (separately for the left and right mitten).
